Ladies and Gentlemen, it is with great pleasure I announce the unveiling of Bryce Beattie’s long-awaited, much anticipated sequel to Oasis, entitled The Journey of St. Laurent – now available on Amazon’s Kindle platform, Barnes and Noble’s NOOK platform, and in many additional formats and platforms from Smashwords!

From the description:

ER nurse Corbin St. Laurent has had a bad couple of weeks. His hometown was overrun by zombies and then bombed to the ground. Now he finds out aliens are not only real, but hostile. To make matters worse, the government’s response it to tell the everyone to calm down. With washington strangely reluctant to fight back, Corbin searches for a weapon that could give the people cause to rise up – the same zombie virus that destroyed Oasis.

The Journey of St. Laurent is a pulp action adventure sequel to Bryce Beattie’s debut novel Oasis. If you like zombies, aliens, fiery redheads, loud mouth radio hosts or non-stop action, you’ll probably like this book.

Did You Know…?

…that the stories I have published on Amazon’s Kindle store right now all sell for 99¢, unless they’re free?

…that you can get those stories, and a few additional ones, in my collections of short stories called A Fine Cast of Characters and A Moonlit Stroll?

…that both of those books are only 99¢ each? That’s right, you can get almost ten dollars worth of stories for a paltry $1.98 if you buy both collections!

Sure, you won’t be able to find Barrel of Fun in either of those books. You will have to get that one separately, if you’d like to read it. But all the others are in one of those two collections. And if you throw in A Barrel of Fun, just for fun, y’know, the whole bill comes to less than $3! You get a big savings there for bundles of entertainment!

So what are you waiting for?! Get over to Amazon.com and buy my books, either individually or as a collection!

Have a great weekend!

Come to the Party!

There’s a launch party this Saturday, March 23, 2013, over on my Facebook page!

Why?

Well, this Saturday, March 23, 2013 (yeah, I can’t do it without the year, sorry), I’ll be releasing a new (old) short story duet for the Amazon Kindle platform!

The set is called Shudderbugs, and features two stories based on – wait for it! – photography! And the best part? It will be FREE for the first five days of the launch!

I’m hoping to have it uploaded on Friday and have it available for Saturday, when it will also be FREE for FIVE (meaning for five days). So mark your calendar, and come on over to my Facebook author page and join the party!

See you Saturday!

New “Scales of Justice” Cover reveal!

It depends on how it looks in the KDP publishing preview, of course, but I’ve been working on a new cover for Scales of Justice, my one and only full-length published novel. I like the one I have, but thought maybe, just maybe, it could use some “oomph,” so I worked up a new one.

So sound off, one and all, and tell me what you think of the NEW cover for Scales of Justice:

Now, I’m not wild about the author name line right now. I don’t mind if people can’t read the “A Novel By” line, but I definitely need the name to stand out. And I’d like to use either contrasting colors or something from the background, but I just couldn’t seem to hit on anything good. I finally settled on a bright cyan, but I’d like something better, so that might change.

The other covers, which didn’t make the cut, were all more yellow-orange and didn’t play well on screen when uploaded to Amazon’s KDP. I feel fairly confident this one will work well. And I love the imagery, and the scales. Of course, friend and fellow author (and thereby cover designer) Bryce Beattie made me a cover for this one too, and I might just use his instead.

Well, which one do you guys like better? Which do you think will read cleaner and be more eye-catching on the screen?

Sound off! I want to hear from you.
