I’ve finished work on my latest WIP as of Sunday, July 26, 2015!
The tentative title is Hunter’s Moon. It is part of the Spectral Analysis series, and at this point it appears to be book two in that line. To answer the obvious question, I have not at this time released the first book in the series. It has…issues, which are slated to be addressed soon.
So, when book one is complete and ready for sale, I can release book two a few months later. I’m not sure whether releasing book two ahead of book one is an okay maneuver, but I don’t recall anyone else besides George Lucas doing it. (Star Wars, Episode IV: A New Hope, anyone?) I’m…not George Lucas.
So, I’ll be creating a cover based on the tentative title and previewing it here over the next couple of weeks.
I hope all of you had a great weekend, and I’ll be back soon with any updates. Stay tuned!

I was wondering about that myself, if you should go ahead and release it now, or wait for Bk 1 to be finished. I’m still unsure. This is a great story, and can absolutely stand alone, but having the 1st on first would also be good. Conundrums!
Well, I guess the problem with this one is, there’s not much if any background on the characters. No history, no backstory of any kind. Does that help, hurt, or make no difference whatsoever? I honestly don’t know. Does the reader need some of that information? For instance, does the reader need to know about the relationship between the two central characters? I have no idea either. Matter of fact, I don’t even know how to go about researching that. It’s not as if we can’t add backstory if we need to, I guess. Will all the books need that to be stand-alone as part of the series? Hm. HM!
